Machine Shop
Our Charlevoix facility houses a machine shop where we manufacture slip ring assemblies, test fixtures, prototype assemblies, transducers and a variety of other components.
Computer Numeric Control Machining (CNC)
Michigan Scientific utilizes Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Machining in a variety of manufacturing applications. Parts are manufactured or modified using a computer controlled tool for processes such as milling, grinding, and even electric discharge machining (EDM).
Computer Aided Machining (CAM)
To aid in CNC programming, we use computer-aided-machining (CAM) workstations. The CNC programmer imports either a 2D or 3D CAD file and specifies the machining operations to be performed on the geometry.
