Electrical Engineering Intern

Michigan Scientific Corporation (MSC) has a need for Electrical Engineering Interns to begin working in Summer 2027.

Michigan Scientific has need of full time, electrical/computer engineering interns for the summer of 2027. Applicants should be enrolled in ECE department, or a related field. Applicants interested in a spring 2027 internship, or spring and summer co-op position will also be considered. Please submit a resume online and meet us at our booth at the fall career fair on September 29.

Interns in this position will work to make improvements to existing products, assist in the design of new products and projects, and in the case of interns with advanced skills, take on the role of lead designer for new products. Interns should be prepared to take a project from initial concept, through design, and into final prototyping and manufacturing. Michigan Scientific is especially interested in candidates with a strong aptitude for hardware/software integration, i.e. writing code for a microprocessor or controller, and designing the interface circuitry.

  • Coordinates and engineers multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to independently determine tasks and complete them in a timely manner
  • Analog circuit design (strain signal conditioning, transducer instrumentation, etc.)
  • Instrumentation (oscilloscopes, digital voltmeter, function generator, data acquisition, etc.)
  • CAD and PCB design
  • General coding experience (C/C++, Arduino, Python, Labview)
  • Coding for hardware (MCU, ADC, DAC) is a plus

Job responsibilities may include:

  • Involvement with new product development, and existing product improvements
