Michigan Scientific Corporation (MSC) has an immediate need for full time Sales Engineer.
MSC is looking for candidates at our Milford, MI facility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or similar technical discipline
- 2 to 4 years of engineering experience (product, application, testing, etc.)
- Preferred, 2 to 4 years of professional sales / business development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and confidently present ideas
- Experience creating solutions based on customer requirements, while understanding the industry and the business challenges they face
- Ability to effectively identify and qualify prospects within the target markets
- Knowledge of testing industry is helpful
Responsibilities
- Follow-up on sales leads via e-mail, phone, and in person.
- Write quotes and process purchase orders
- Initiate sales calls and organize visits to potential clients and end users
- Lead technical and commercial discussions at customers
- Expand existing customer relationships, and find new business opportunities
- Participate in trade shows, and other networking activities that elevate the company’s profile. Identify industry trends by researching sector publications and discussing potential needs with customers; and recommend potential new products and services to MSC development engineers.
- Work closely with Michigan Scientific engineers on feasibility/details of potential projects, and advise on new customer requirements for MSC sensors
- 5 to 20% travel required
