Fiber-Optic systems are often used in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing for vehicle validation. This testing involves determining the electromagnetic interference (EMI) effects under normal operation. Vehicles are placed in an anechoic chamber and MSC Fiber-Optics are used as monitoring equipment during bulk current injection (BCI) tests. The signals are transmitted over fiber-optic cables into and out of the strong electromagnetic fields created during the BCI tests.
