Precision Vehicle Stator Restraint (PVSR)

Description

The Precision Vehicle Stator Restraint (PVSR) and Restraining Rod are used to restrain the stator of a Slip Ring Assembly or Wheel Pulse Transducer while it is being used on the wheel of a vehicle.  The PVSR attaches to the body of a vehicle with a flexible magnetic sheet and uses an inverted disk brush to support and guide the Restraining Rod.  The brush eliminates any angular free-play while still allowing the rod to tilt, rotate, and slide throughout the wheel travel, and is not effected by water, ice, or dirt.  The PVSR is preferred when measuring wheel rotation at near-zero speeds, or during tests where wheel rotation may change direction between forward and reverse.
